Artist Robert N. Riedel began drawing at a young age while growing up in California. At the age of 13, with the support from his family, he took his first college level figure drawing class which further pushed him towards his passion for art. At age 16 Robert graduated high school and moved to Mt. Shasta, CA for college. Robert graduated at College of the Siskiyous CA with degrees in math, art and physics. After graduating, Robert met his wife Suzanna and together they moved to Guatemala for work. Robert painted several murals at hotels and restaurants throughout the beautiful country.

After returning to the United States, Robert began his art business in commission portraits, gallery works, murals, and published illustration. Years later he and his wife made their home in St. Petersburg, FL where Robert opened his studio at Studios@5663 in the Pinellas Arts Village. He now paints all forms of portraits, wildlife, landscapes and many other subjects in his fantasy and surrealistic style. Using media including watercolor, pen & ink, and acrylic on canvas he paints both privately commissioned works, gallery works, as well as writes and illustrates the comic book “Hugo and Knox,” a 12 part illustrated series.
